Special Camps to Achieve 100% e-KYC Fingerprint Registration in Coimbatore District
As per the National Food Security Act, 2013, the Government of India has instructed that e-KYC verification based on the fingerprints of all beneficiaries linked to electronic family cards under the Priority Household (PHH) and Antyodaya Anna Yojana (AAY) categories should be carried out to verify their Aadhaar details. Accordingly, instructions have been issued to complete this process without causing any inconvenience to the family members. The fingerprint-based e-KYC process for family members has been underway since October 2023.
As per the current status, fingerprint registration has been completed for 96.12% of Priority Household family cards and 90.09% of Non-Priority Household family cards in Coimbatore District.
Therefore, with the objective of achieving 100% e-KYC fingerprint registration, special camps will be conducted at all Fair Price Shops in Coimbatore District on 08.08.2026 and 09.08.2026.
All family members whose fingerprint registration is pending are requested to visit their respective Fair Price Shop or the nearest Fair Price Shop and complete their fingerprint registration.
