Hostels

Hostels

In Coimbatore District there are 26 school/college Boys/Girls Hostels are functioning for the purpose of serving poor students. Following facilities are provided to the hostel boarders in free of cost.

  • One English and two Tamil dailies are subscribed for each hostel.
  • Free Special Guides are supplied to each student to help them to increase their academic knowledge who are appearing for 10th and 12th standard public examinations.
  • Four sets of uniforms are given to the hostel boarders studying from IV to X standard
  • Career guidance programme are conducted to create awareness among the 10th Std, 12th Std and final year college hostel students about various job opportunities available and make them employable. The programme is implemented through the Employment and Training Department.
  • Three medical checkup camps are conducted for all hostel boarders every year.
  • Two tier cot given for all college hostel
  • Mats are provided to school hostel boarders every year.
  • Jamakkalam are provided to first year college boarders
  • Bedsheets are provided once in two years for both school and hostel boarders
  • Gym Equipments supplied to the college hostels and e-Library facilities are also available in college hostel

Eligiblity :

1.Annual income of the parents not should nor exceed Rs.1,00,000/-

2.School Student from 4th standard to 12 standard   will be admitted in school hostels and Diploma, UG and PG students will be admitted in college hostels

Scholarships

Post -matric scholarship scheme

  • Post matric scholarship are sanctioned Postgraduate, Diploma, Professional and Research courses in Govt./Govt. aided Colleges and professional colleges under Government quota for BCs, MBCs and DNC s
  • Annual parental income should not exceed Rs.2.5 lakh to avail this

 

Free Education Scheme

  • Under Free Education scholarship (Degree) scheme, students of Backward Classes, Most Backward Classes and Denotified Communities studying in three year Degree Courses in Government and Government Aided Arts and Science colleges
  • Under Diploma courses in Government and Government Aided Polytechnic Colleges
  • Backward Classes, Most Backward Classes and Denotified Communities selected under Government quota through single window system and pursuing Professional Courses in Government, Government aided and self-financing colleges

Conditions:

  • The student should belong to Backward Classes, Most Backward Classes or Denotified Communities
  • The annual family income should not exceed Rs.2.50 Lakhs

 

Distribution of Free Iron box

  • The beneficiary should belong to Backward Classes/Most Backward Classes/ and Denotified Communities  and doing washing work.
  • The Annual income should not exceed Rs.1,00,000/ –

Distribution of free Motorised Tailoring Machine

  • The beneficiary should belong to Backward Classes/Most Backward Classes/ and Denotified Communities
  • Should have Tailoring knowledge
  • Age from 20-45 years
  • The Annual income should not exceed Rs.1,00,000/

Rural   Girls incentive  Scheme:

  • This scheme is implemented for promoting awareness about education among the  MBC  and DNC girls students in Rural areas
  • An Incentive amount of Rs.500/- per child from third to fifth standard and Rs.1000/- per child for sixth standard student has been paid as incentive for the students who are studying in the Government and aided schools in rural areas.
  • Parents annual income should not exceed Rs.1,00,000/- for availing this benefit.

 

Denotified communities Welfare Board

  • The beneficiary should belong to Denotified Community
  • Age limit from 18  to  60

TABCEDCO

The object of the Corporation is to provide loans for the economically and financially viable schemes , trade or project to the individuals, groups societies belonging to the Backward Classes/Most Backward Classes/ and Denotified  Communities  at lower interest rates for their economic up liftment   . Loans for following business are given:

 

1 . Petty cash business and small scale business

  1. Agriculture
  2. Transport
  3. Artisan and Traditional Occupation
  4. Young professional graduate

 

Eligibility

 

1.  Beneficiary should belong to Backward/Most  Backward Classes and Denotified        Community

  1. Annual income should not exceed Rs.3,00,000-
  2. Beneficiary age should be more than 18 years and less than 60 years
  3. Only one person in a family will be allowed to avail this loan

 

Loans with Grant for digging Borewell for Small scale Farmers        

 

  • Loans upto Rs.1 Lakh are sanctioned to economically less farmers belongs to Backward/Most Backward Classes and Denotified Community for digging  This scheme was implemented by TABCEDCO. In this scheme a maximum of Rs.1,00,000- are sanctioned for the purpose of digging borewells for agriculture purpose. 50% of the above loan amount will be given by the government as grants and the remaining 50% will be paid by the beneficiary.

 

Distribution of Free Bi-Cycles

 

Bicycles are supplied to 11th standard students of Government, Government aided

and partially aided schools irrespective of income and community.

 

Free House Site Pattas:

 

Free house sites being given  to the poor people who do not possess house sites of their own.

2.Annual income should not exceed Rs.1,00,000-
