Under the guidance of the Hon’ble Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu, various new initiatives are being undertaken for the development of tourism. Since 2022, the Tamil Nadu Tourism Department has been presenting Tamil Nadu Tourism Awards to tourism operators, tourism entrepreneurs and hospitality establishments.

Applications are invited for 13 categories, including Best Inbound Tour Operator, Best Domestic Tour Operator, Best Accommodation, Best Restaurant, Best District for Tourism Promotion, Cleanest Tourism Destination, Best Tourist Guide, Best Adventure Tourism and Camping Site Operator, and Best Educational Institution for Tourism and Hospitality.

The Voluntary Study Circle functioning under the District Employment and Career Guidance Centre, Coimbatore, provides free coaching classes and mock tests for various competitive examinations, including TNPSC, TNUSRB, TRB, TET, SSC, RRB and IBPS.

Qualified and experienced trainers are currently required to conduct coaching classes. Trainers will be paid an honorarium of Rs.800 per hour.
