Liquor Shops to Remain Closed in Coimbatore on 26.08.2026

In view of Milad-un-Nabi, all government liquor shops and licensed liquor outlets, including bars operating under various licence categories in Coimbatore district, will remain closed on 26.08.2026 (Wednesday), which has been declared a Dry Day.
Strict action will be taken under the Tamil Nadu Prohibition Act, 1937, against persons who violate the regulations by selling liquor, illegally storing liquor, or transporting liquor from one place to another on the said date, informed District Collector Thiru. Pavankumar G. Giriyappanavar, I.A.S.,
