Thaai Maaman Thanga Mothiram Thittam

The Hon’ble Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu has announced the “Thaai Maaman Thanga Mothiram Thittam” in the Legislative Assembly with the objectives of honouring motherhood, celebrating childbirth, increasing the number of deliveries in government hospitals, and further strengthening public trust in government medical institutions.

Following this, the scheme to distribute gold rings across Tamil Nadu will be inaugurated by the Hon’ble Chief Minister on 28.09.2026.

Under this scheme, a one-gram gold ring will be provided to all babies born alive in government hospitals and primary health centres from 22.06.2026, 12:00 forenoon ⁹onwards.
