Applications Invited for Subsidy for Christians Returning from Jerusalem Holy Pilgrimage
The Government of Tamil Nadu invites applications from Christian beneficiaries who have undertaken and returned from the Jerusalem Holy Pilgrimage during the current year.
Under the scheme, 550 Christians will receive a subsidy of ₹37,000 per person, while 50 nuns/brothers will receive ₹60,000 per person, benefiting a total of 600 Christians. The subsidy will be credited directly through ECS.
Application forms can be obtained free of cost from the District Backward Classes and Minorities Welfare Office / Minorities Welfare Office functioning at the District Collectorate, or downloaded from the official website.
Completed applications, along with the required documents, must be submitted by 31.01.2027 to the Commissioner of Minorities Welfare, Chennai – 600005.
