Deepavali Festival: District Collector Issues Food Safety Guidelines for Sweet and Savoury Manufacturers and Sellers

In view of the upcoming Deepavali festival, manufacturers, wholesalers and retailers involved in the preparation and sale of sweets and savouries must obtain a valid FSSAI licence or registration certificate and strictly follow food safety guidelines. These include maintaining hygienic conditions, using quality ingredients, displaying the date of manufacture and use-by date, and avoiding the use of prohibited plastics. The public is advised to purchase sweets and savouries only from FSSAI-licensed establishments.
