District Collector Urges Farmers to Insure Kharif Season Crops Under Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana for 2026-27

The Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana (PMFBY) for the Kharif season of 2026-27 has been notified in Tamil Nadu and the scheme is currently being implemented. In Coimbatore district, the crop insurance scheme is being implemented through the insurance company Agriculture Insurance Company of India Ltd.

As Kharif season cultivation is currently underway in full swing, farmers are requested to insure their notified crops — Paddy I, Maize I, Sorghum, Black Gram, Green Gram, and Horse Gram — well in advance without waiting until the last date for crop insurance enrolment. (PDF 71KB)
