The Ministry of Labour and Employment, Government of India, is implementing the Pradhan Mantri Shram Yogi Maandhan (PMSYM), a voluntary and contributory pension scheme that provides an assured monthly pension of ₹3,000 to eligible unorganised workers in the tourism and allied sectors after they attain the age of 60 years.

Eligible unorganised workers between 18 and 40 years of age can enrol in the scheme. Beneficiaries are required to make a fixed monthly contribution based on their age at the time of enrolment, while the Government of India contributes an equal matching amount. The scheme covers tourism guides, tourist vehicle drivers, transport service providers, employees in the hotel and hospitality sector, sanitation workers, artisans, street vendors, restaurant and food service providers, and other service providers associated with the tourism industry.

Eligible workers can register for the scheme by visiting the nearest Common Service Centre (CSC) with their Aadhaar card, bank passbook, and mobile number. Registration can also be completed through the official portal: https://maandhan.in/maandhan/login.
