The ninth round of the National Animal Disease Control Programme (NADCP) will be conducted in Coimbatore district from July 1 to August 10, 2026, covering cattle and buffaloes in all villages. Farmers have been urged to ensure that all cows, bulls, buffaloes, and calves above four months of age receive the Foot-and-Mouth Disease (FMD) vaccine on the scheduled dates. District Collector Pavankumar G. Giriyappanavar, I.A.S., said the campaign aims to achieve 100% vaccination coverage and protect livestock from the highly contagious disease. (PDF 307KB)
