80th Independence Day Celebration: District Collector Hoists the National Flag and Honours the Heirs of Freedom Fighters in Coimbatore

At the Independence Day celebration held today (15.08.2026) at the V.O.C. Maidan, Coimbatore, the District Collector, Thiru. Pavankumar G Giriyappanavar, I.A.S., hoisted the National Flag, received the Police Guard of Honour, and released tricolour balloons and peace doves.

Subsequently, the District Collector honoured the legal heirs of freedom fighters and language agitation martyrs by presenting them with shawls and commemorative gifts.
