Loan Schemes for Backward Classes and Denotified Communities – Collector’s Announcement
Various loan schemes, including individual loans, group loans, dairy cattle loans and education loans for higher studies abroad, are being implemented through the Tamil Nadu Backward Classes Economic Development Corporation for the economic advancement of Backward Classes, Most Backward Classes and Denotified Communities.
Eligible beneficiaries can avail individual loans up to Rs.25 lakh, while members of Self-Help Groups can avail loans up to Rs.1.25 lakh per member and Rs.25 lakh per group. Loans are also available for the purchase of dairy cattle, subject to eligibility.
Further, eligible students pursuing higher education in foreign universities can avail education loans up to Rs.25 lakh.
Application forms can be obtained from the District Backward Classes and Minorities Welfare Office, Office of the Joint Registrar of Cooperative Societies, and Cooperative Bank branches.
