Special Camp for Differently Abled Persons at Podanur
A special camp is being conducted across 25 locations in Coimbatore District from 25.08.2026 for the welfare of differently abled persons, jointly organised by the District Administration, Department for the Welfare of Differently Abled Persons and various Government departments. The camps are being held from 10.00 AM to 1.00 PM.
As part of this initiative, a special camp will be held on 01.09.2026 at Fathima Kani Marriage Hall, Podanur. Various services including UDID card registration and renewal, issue of disability certificates, selection of beneficiaries for free surgery, educational assistance, maintenance allowance, bank loan assistance and distribution of assistive devices will be provided.
Applications for various Government welfare schemes will also be received. Aadhaar enrolment and corrections, as well as changes in name and address in family cards, will also be facilitated at the camp.
Differently abled persons residing in Coimbatore South Taluk are requested to participate in the camp, which will be held from 10.00 AM to 1.00 PM, and make use of the Government welfare schemes.
District Collector Thiru. Pavankumar G. Giriyappanavar, I.A.S., has informed that eligible persons may participate and avail themselves of the benefits.
