Applications Invited for Licences to Set Up Temporary Cracker Shops for Diwali 2026
As Diwali is scheduled to be celebrated on 08.11.2026, persons interested in operating temporary cracker shops in the rural areas of Coimbatore District, excluding Corporation areas, may apply online through e-Seva Centres from 21.09.2026 to 21.10.2026.
Applicants should submit the required documents, including the site plan, property tax receipt, consent letter from the building owner, original E-Challan receipt for the ₹700 licence fee, passport-size photograph, PAN, Aadhaar and family/smart card.
The shop should have an area between 9 sq. metres and 25 sq. metres. Shops should not be located near hospitals, schools, places of worship, marriage halls, commercial complexes, theatres, public pathways, railway tracks, water bodies, high-voltage lines or areas containing inflammable materials. A minimum distance of 3 metres should be maintained between temporary firecracker shops.
Applicants are requested to strictly follow all prescribed safety regulations while submitting their applications. Applications received after the prescribed deadline or those not complying with the conditions will not be considered for administrative reasons, the District Collector, Thiru. Pavankumar G.
