Educational Scholarship for BC, MBC/DNC Students in Central Educational Institutions – 2026–27
Students belonging to the BC, MBC/DNC categories from Tamil Nadu, pursuing undergraduate or postgraduate courses in IITs, IIMs, NITs, Central Universities and other Central educational institutions in Tamil Nadu and other States, with an annual family income not exceeding ₹2.50 lakh, are eligible for educational scholarships towards tuition fees and other compulsory fees, subject to a maximum of ₹2.00 lakh per year.
Fresh and Renewal applications are invited for the academic year 2026–27.
Last Dates:
- Renewal Applications – 31.10.2026
- Fresh Applications – 30.11.2026
- Even Semester Fee Receipts – 15.01.2027
Application forms can be obtained from the Directorate of Backward Classes Welfare, Directorate of Most Backward Classes and Denotified Communities Welfare, District Backward Classes Welfare Office, Coimbatore, and the official website www.bcw.tn.gov.in.
Students availing benefits under other Central or State Government educational scholarship schemes are not eligible for this scheme.
