National Handloom Mahotsav Inaugurated in Coimbatore

Today(13.10.2026), the Hon’ble Minister for Handlooms and Textiles, Thiru M. Vijay Balaji, inaugurated and visited the Grand Indian Dussehra–Deepavali Handloom Mahotsav Exhibition and Sale at Ramalakshmi Mahal, Gold Wins, Avinashi Road, Coimbatore, organised under the Ministry of Textiles, Government of India. During the event, certificates were distributed to handloom weavers for the provision of weaving equipment, pension benefits and educational assistance. The 10-day exhibition, held from 13.10.2026 to 22.10.2026, features 60 stalls showcasing and selling traditional handloom products from various states across India.
