Up to ₹5,000 Direct Subsidy for Tamil Nadu Buddhists Attending Dhamma Chakra Pravartan Festival in Nagpur
The Government of Tamil Nadu is implementing a scheme to provide a direct subsidy of up to ₹5,000 per person to Buddhists from Tamil Nadu travelling to Nagpur Deekshabhoomi to participate in the Dhamma Chakra Pravartan Festival held on Vijayadashami and returning thereafter.
Applications are invited from Buddhists who wish to undertake the pilgrimage in 2026. Application forms can be obtained free of cost from the District Minorities Welfare Office functioning at the District Collectorate or downloaded from the official website.
The completed applications, along with the required documents, should be submitted to the Commissioner, Minorities Welfare Department, Chennai, on or before 15.11.2026.
